Rutherford's Gold Foil Experiment and Marble Lab Set Up

Today we talked about Rutherford's gold foil experiment and why it was important.

We then talked about the lab tomorrow and how to set it up.

And finally we went through the probability math to show how this lab will allow us to find the diameter of marbles without measuring them directly. Sort of how Rutherford was able to measure the size of gold atoms' nuclei without being able to touch them.
