By now almost everyone that is going to take their electricity test has, and you've gotten it back. Seniors have turned in their finals (and so have some non-seniors). Everyone else, your finals are due on your official finals days:
Tuesday: periods 5 and 6
Wednesday: period 2
Thursday: periods 3 and 4
We'll be watching a movie during the final class, but you can keep working on stuff right up until the end. I'm still accepting work, so keep it coming! Seniors, I have to submit your grades on Tuesday, so that's your due date for everything.

Study Guide and Final
And so begins the long winding down of the year. Below are some instructions. You can take the electricity test Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. The study guide can be found here, but the circuit doesn't show up.

More Compound Circuits Practice
Today is our last bellwork and last worksheet together! I have video of the bellwork, but it looks like it won't finish uploading until 1 AM. For now, work on Electricity VII, due tomorrow, and the extra credit ranking tasks.
Tomorrow I will pass out your take-home final and the study guide for your last unit test (next week).

Teacher Out - Compound Circuits Practice
Sorry to be out today everyone. Please take and work on Electricity VI (on the far left of the desk). This is due tomorrow. I have made a video of #2 if you need help.
If you finish early, give Electricity VII a go!

Solving Compound Circuits
Solving a compound circuit starts with finding the total resistance like yesterday, but then we find the total current and trace it throughout. I wanted to take a video of this like yesterday, but I forgot to charge the camera, so I worked through the bellwork quickly on my computer at home. Here is the video for that.
Homework tonight is to finish the back of Concept-Development 35-2.

Compound Circuits: Total Resistance
Today we started to combine series and parallel resistors; this is called a compound circuit. Tomorrow we will solve such circuits, but for today we only found the total (or equivalent) resistance. I also took a video of fifth period's bellwork session.
Homework tonight is the front of Comcept-Development 35-2.

Series and Parallel Practice
Today we briefly looked at how the arrangement of identical resistors changes the power use of a circuit. We demonstrated this by wiring hot dogs in series and in parallel; the hot dogs in parallel cooked in two minutes. We ate them.
The rest of the day was given to work time. Your homework, due Monday, is Electricity V.

Overload and Circuit Breakers
Today we talked about the purpose of a circuit breaker or fuse and how overload happens. Homework tonight is Electricity IV (below).

Resistors in Parallel
Today we continue dealing with circuits of more than one resistor. This time we arranged them in parallel. Your homework tonight is the back of Concept-Development 35-1. The whole thing is due tomorrow.
